9 Months Old

Happy Holidays! We can't believe it is almost Christmas and our little diva is now 9 months old! I remember telling my Mom how I couldn't wait for Christmas in hopes Mia was crawling! and now 9 months later the season has arrived!


This past month Mia has been extra busy. We traveled to Owatonna, MN for our annual Lande Thanksgiving and Black Friday Shopping! Mia enjoyed playing at the hotel with her cousin Drew (who is 2 weeks older than Mia)! Mia even went swimming in a pool for the first time....knowing her personality we knew it probably wasn't going to go well....and we were right! She wasn't a fan! Although her buddy Drew LOVED it!

Mia even visited Santa (see post below for photos) with absolutely no tears at all! We were so proud!

Her hair is getting very long but this Mommy just isn't ready to trim it up yet!

Last weekend, we had our first Christmas with the Landes where Mia opened her first set of presents! As suspected she was much more interested in the paper and her first gift she opened, which was a book!

Mia is eating table food with us - for the most part she has what we are eating for supper. Makes it much more difficult for me to think of creative suppers these days!

Mia is learning to pull her self up on furniture - she is becoming quite the pro at it! It won't be long and she'll be walking! She has figured pulling herself up so for naps and bedtime she enjoys standing in her crib and staring at us in her video monitor!!!

Mia Meets Santa!

Look who got to meet Santa last weekend! No tears or anything! She was soo good sitting on Santa's lap! She told him she really wanted new learning books with textures, learning toys and some fridge magnets that make noise! After visiting Santa, Mia got to eat some Chick-Fil-A!

8 Months Old & Crawling

Happy November! Mia is now 8 months old!!! I say it every month but I can't believe how fast she is growing up. Just the other day, Jake was crawling around the room telling Mia to watch and imitate him! Now she is crawling and starting to pull herself up on the furniture! 

Mia's new favorite place to play is the kitchen! Now that she can crawl there she hangs out by the trash can and the garage door....she loves my rugs!!! She also enjoys looking at her reflection and outside through our sliding glass door! Oh did we forget to mention she absolutely loves to play with shoe strings. This girl doesn't need toys that's for sure! She is so into learning now. She loves to just feel things and rub them!

We are experiencing our third cold of the season! Poor baby girl has a runny nose and cough. Mia also has 3 teeth and is working on her fourth one....all on the bottom!

Mia went Trick or Treating for the first time....our little Vikings Cheerleader visited her best friend Samantha and they played together while the Daddies handed out candy. Mia is starting to really feed herself now too. We gave her a bite of pizza the other night and she seemed to really like it.

Mia got a new basketball hoop from a family friend and absolutely loves to play with her Daddy!

Highlights from the past month!

• Being much more mobile! Mia is moving all over in circles as she figures out how to scoot around the room! 
• Mia will even wave at you! Maybe not on command but she enjoys waving at trees, the window and lots of other objects! 
• A third tooth has decided to make its way in! It officially broke the gumline yesterday!
• Eating real table food. Mia loves cheese, spaghettio's, ravioli and rice. We even tried feeding ourselves and instead we decided to play in our food!
• Mommy takes me shopping quite a bit....because I always need diapers or food! I get tuckered out fast!
• ....and the most fun thing this month has been going to the Pumpkin Patch and picking out some pumpkins with her friend Samantha!!

     

Daddy dresses Mia up for his Vikings! He claims she is his good luck charm! When you are as precious as Mia how can you not be!

Emily's sister in Korea sent her a beautiful Korean outfit and accessories. 

Target is my favorite store!

I get to read the Sunday paper with Daddy! But then they take it away from me!

I love playing with my socks and toes! My Daddy lets me watch cartoons when Mommy isn't looking!

Learning to feed myself is so much fun....my Mommy really LOVES my messes! ;)
